How to Repair A Samsung Dryer?

how to repair samsung dryer

Are you looking for an appliance repairs on your Samsung dryer? Whether you’re looking for an easy way to fix a faulty heating element or burned-out thermostat, this article will teach you how to do it yourself. Also, we’ll cover how to fix a broken drum and tripped circuit breaker. After reading this guide, you’ll be ready to tackle a variety of other issues that could be causing your dryer to stop working.

The idler pulley wears out

My Samsung dryer’s idler pulley has worn out. It is very difficult to turn the pulley, causing a squeak. The drum rollers were also showing signs of phonographic grooves. After some research and some YouTube videos, I found the culprit: the idler pulley sleeve bearing. I purchased a replacement kit for $35 from Amazon and replaced the entire drum roller assembly. It also replaced the belt.

Broken drum

How to fix a broken drum on a Samsung dryer? The main component of your dryer, the drum, will eventually wear out and stop spinning. Other parts that may be at fault include the drive belt that rotates the drum and the rollers and glides that turn the drum. The drive motor and idler pulley may also be defective. You will need to consult the user manual for more information about the repair process. If you can’t figure out how to fix the broken drum on your own, here are some steps you can follow.

If the broken drum on your Samsung dryer is causing the machine to make noises, it’s time to replace the rollers. If the rollers have become loose, you can easily replace them. Just make sure not to damage any fragile wires. Once the roller is removed, carefully reinstall it in the reverse order and reattach all wire connectors. Once the roller has been replaced, make sure to replace the other parts, such as the motor, too.

Overheating

If your Samsung dryer has been overheating, one of the first things to look for is a blown thermal fuse. This safety feature is meant to prevent a fire from escalating, and if it blows, your dryer will not produce any heat. Alternatively, a faulty thermistor could be the culprit, so you should check these parts as well. If you suspect that the problem is with the thermistor, test it using a multimeter.

If you’re still experiencing an overheating problem, you’ll want to check the airflow in your dryer. Samsung dryers typically have a built-in test feature that will tell you whether it has a blockage. If it doesn’t, you’ll have to manually check it for a blockage. Likewise, if the vents are blocked or the heating element assembly is damaged, this will also cause your dryer to overheat. If you can’t find a solution to this problem, you can try unplugging the appliance and re-entering the air flow into it. If the problem persists, you may need to get a technician to help you fix it.
